Dr. Jae Won Bae was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and later moved to California to support his children’s education. With more than 30 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Bae brings a unique combination of Eastern and Western approaches to patient care.
Dr. Bae earned his Ph.D. in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from South Baylor University in California. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Neuroscience and Physical Therapy from Curtin University in Australia. In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Bae served as an adjunct lecturer at Korea University, where he taught in medical specialties.
Dr. Bae is passionate about helping patients achieve better health and an improved quality of life through acupuncture and an integrative approach to care. His extensive background in Western medicine, acupuncture, physical therapy, and neuroscience allows him to look beyond individual symptoms and consider the many factors that can influence a patient’s overall health and well-being.
With specialized knowledge in the neuroscience of pain and mental health concerns- including anxiety, depression, and stress- Dr. Bae takes a thoughtful, individualized approach to each patient. He has experience working with a wide range of health concerns, including allergies, IBS, hypertension, migraines, insomnia, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, prostate-related concerns, stroke recovery, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and more.
Dr. Bae believes that every patient deserves personalized care and a clear path forward. He looks forward to working with each patient to better understand their health concerns, develop an individualized plan, and support them in reaching their wellness goals.
